Terms and Conditions & House Rules

Information
The following General Terms and Conditions and House Rules form the basis of all bookings at La Vuardaz. By making a binding online booking, the guest agrees to both. The House Rules form part of the booking.

General Terms and Conditions

1. Binding booking and invoice

By submitting an online booking, the booking becomes binding. La Vuardaz issues an invoice for the full amount of the stay on the same day. The full amount must be paid in advance.

2. Payment deadlines

Payment must be made on the day of booking.

For payments made within Switzerland, the full amount must be received in La Vuardaz’s account within 2 working days.

For international payments, proof of payment must be sent by email within 24 hours. The full amount must be received no later than within 7 working days.

3. Cancellation

If a binding booking is not paid within the applicable deadline, La Vuardaz may cancel the booking without further reminder and release the accommodation for rebooking. A fixed cancellation fee will then be charged:

  • Room: CHF 100
  • Holiday house: CHF 250
  • Hotel for exclusive use: CHF 500
  • Entire property for exclusive use: CHF 750

This fee takes into account the blocking of the accommodation resulting from the binding booking and the associated administrative work.

For confirmed bookings, the following cancellation conditions apply:

  • Rooms: free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival; 50% from 29 to 14 days; 100% from 13 days before arrival or in case of no-show.
  • Holiday house, hotel or entire property booked exclusively: free cancellation up to 90 days before arrival; 50% from 89 to 30 days; 100% from 29 days before arrival or in case of no-show.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email. The date of receipt by La Vuardaz is decisive.

4. Arrival and handover

Check-in is possible from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Earlier or later arrival must be agreed in advance.

5. Care, return and liability

The accommodation, inventory and facilities must be treated with care. The maximum number of persons stated in the booking must not be exceeded.

Check-out must take place by 11:00 am. The accommodation must be returned in an orderly condition and with the complete inventory. The guest is liable for damage caused by the guest or accompanying persons and for missing inventory, insofar as such damage exceeds normal wear and tear.

6. Force majeure and unavailability

If La Vuardaz is unable to provide the booked service due to force majeure, official measures or other unforeseeable and unavoidable circumstances, amounts already paid for services not provided will be refunded. Further claims are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

7. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction is the registered office of La Vuardaz.
