Values

Charm, Comfort & Discretion

In this lovingly renovated historic winegrower’s house, La Vuardaz combines charm, comfort and discretion.
Our individually designed rooms, some with views of the lake, invite you to relax and unwind. High-quality beds and good insulation ensure a restful night’s sleep.

Mindful Enjoyment

Start your day with a wholesome, regional breakfast. We use natural products, preferably organic and sourced from the region. These are complemented by produce from our own garden – herbs, fruit, nuts and other seasonal products.
Breakfast can be individually tailored and served in the Café-Bar or outdoors on the terrace. Alternatively, the guest kitchen is available for you to prepare your own breakfast, cold main meals and snacks. A minibar offers a selection of drinks, including regional beers, wines and non-alcoholic refreshments.
In the evening, the Café-Bar invites you to enjoy a glass of wine or a locally produced nightcap.
Personal service, with an eye for detail, professionalism and discretion, accompanies you throughout your stay – allowing your time away to become a lasting experience.

Permaculture

This historic former wine estate has been responsibly renovated over more than seven years, with the greatest respect for the building and meticulous attention to detail.

Working with local small businesses and individual craftspeople, we created a place where history and the future, aesthetics and ethics come together.

La Vuardaz combines innovative, sustainable technologies with the principles of permaculture – an approach that promotes biodiversity, circular thinking and natural balance.

The principles of permaculture continue to form the basis for the management, upkeep and further development of La Vuardaz. They guide decisions regarding water and energy management, the use of our own produce, and collaboration with people from the region. For me, this also involves preserving what
already exists, utilising cycles and sensibly combining available opportunities.

La Vuardaz is a vibrant place where sustainability is not merely a goal, but a daily practice. The revenue generated by the hotel also provides the foundation for realising further sustainable and social projects – particularly in the field of education.

In this way, La Vuardaz has become a place where beauty and responsibility go hand in hand.

Putting these principles into practice is an expression of my personal values: a deep ecological and social commitment that stems from my connection with nature and my conviction that people can contribute to a more sustainable future through education, interaction and their own actions.

La Vuardaz is therefore not merely a place to enjoy and stay – it is also a personal life’s work, an expression of a vision for a more sustainable and peaceful world.
